            Please have all announcements into the office by 10 a.m. Thursday.

If something comes up after that time, please give the Liturgist a note before

Sunday worship service.

 

            Anyone who needs a ride to church via the church van, please contact the office.

 

Meetings                                                        

            Adult Sunday School at 9:30 a.m.

            Wednesday Choir Rehearsal – 6 p.m.

            Craft Class – Thursdays at 10 a.m.

            Thursday Bible Study – 10:30 a.m.

            Family of Faith Choir Rehearsal – Thursdays, 7 p.m.

            United Methodist Women – Saturday, March 13, Noon

            Detroit Writer’s Guild – Saturday, March 13, Noon

 

            All young people interested in youth activities, please plan to meet with Dr. Totty this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

           

            Continuing our Lenten Services with sister churches, Conant Avenue is hosting this week’s service on Wednesday, March 10. Rev. Albert Rush from West Outer Drive UMC is guest speaker. Please plan to attend this service to support our church. A light meal is served from 6-7 p.m. The worship service is from 7-8 p.m.

 

            Rev. Beverly Garvin, executive director of lifelines Ministries, Inc. International, will bring the 2010 Convocation for women and girls to Conant Avenue on Friday, March 12 at 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. There is no registration fee or costs for this event. Theme: “On Counting the Cost – True Discipleship.” If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Rev. Garvin at

            The Pizza Kits are available, which is a fund-raiser from our youth, to help support church transportation and other needs. Please see Reanetta Harris for your kit.                      

 

            To the ladies attending the UMW Assembly in St. Louis: The screen print for T-Shirts is on the UMW Bulletin Board. The cost for the lavender (orchid) shirt is $12. Please place your order with Audrey Jones, Deidre James or Elaine Hopkins. Note: Anyone can purchase these shirts.

           

            Please remember to support Bishop Keaton’s Seat Cover Project. The tub is in the hall way; instructions on the table.  Please support The Mission Committee in this endeavor.

 

            The Family of Faith Choir, under the direction of Crystal Matthews, will present their spring concert on Palm Sunday, March 28.

 

            Maundy Thursday services will be held here at Conant on Thursday, April 1, 6 p.m. A Seder dinner will be served.

           

            Flowers on the altar today are provided by Mack and Jan Rorex, in memory of Ritchie Rorex, Alice Bell, and Alice Louise Castle.

 

            Fellowship Hour today is provided by Barbara Pettis and Stephanie Jones, honoring March birthdays.
