What we Do

We  encourage those in our church who are 60 and over,  to engage in activities that foster spiritual growth, good health, age-appropriate educational pursuits, outreach activities, and wholesome fellowship events.

Note: You must pre-register (First Come First Served)!

The Senior Technology Class is designed for Seniors and will take place at Conant Ave. UMC.  Its purpose is to provide digital upskilling training and instruct participants on how to maximize usage of their current devices (and other devices, if available) and to safely and effectively navigate web spaces and apps. As a result of participation in the program, participants will increase their digital knowledge, improve understanding, become more socially connected, and experience improved social connectivity.  A lite lunch will be served.

Free - Live Online Learning We provide hundreds of live online classes to keep you mentally, physically and socially active. Classes are interactive, easy to join, offered day and night and free for our community

Meals on Wheels is a nationwide program that provides older Americans with nutritious meals and safety checks at little to no cost.

Detroit Area Agency on Aging

The Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is a nonprofit agency that serves older persons, adults with disabilities, and caregivers residing in Detroit, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, Highland Park & the 5 Grosse Pointes. We are one of 16 Area Agencies on Aging in the state of Michigan and 622 in the nation.
